Boaters Floaters

Yet another toilet review, folks! I promise there's a bookshop in the works! Realistically, there were always going to be more toilets though; reading is selective (unfortunately) but crapping is universal.
One of Nelson's major industries is fishing so it's not really surprising that our fishing port is the largest in Australasia. Our Marina holds no such records but it still quite something; one of the most sheltered marinas you will find with 580 berths and it's located in a city that has one of the lowest crime rates in Australasia. So naturally, when I found myself in this area, I had to give the toilets a shot.
There was nothing fishy about these toilets. You can find these pleasant little numbers behind the Nelson Marina offices off Akersten Street. With two unisex all access stalls, the Nelson Marina is doing it right. These toilets were clean and actually smelt nice as well as being flushing. The taps on the sinks were great fun (they have these odd little joystick things to turn them on) and a sign on the wall announces that, should you have any concerns about the facility, you need only give the Nelson City Council a call. There was no hand drying equipment and it does feel kind of like you're peeing in a frosted glass fish tank; I'm pretty sure anyone standing outside could hear your toilet paper parting at the perforations. However, it was very clean and I must say I was reeled in (see what I did there). Nelson Marina's bogs are pretty swell!
Also if you haven't done so yet, make sure to follow me on Facebook, Instagram and Tumblr so you don't miss any of my posts!
Happy crapping!
