Hello crappers!
We are on the final shitter from the West Coast! The trip home naturally took us to past Historic Lyell! So apparently there used to be a town there that got turned into a campsite after the gold rush fever died out. Now, Lyell is simply the start of one of New Zealand's famous mountain biking tracks; the Old Ghost Road.*
Lyells' toilet is about what you'd expect for a roadside stop that marks the start of a mountain biking track.

I was blessed with another "vault toilet" (I still don't understand why it can't be called a long drop anymore). It was clean and well-ventilated which was lovely; "vault toilets" are always hit or miss. This two-stall affair is gender inclusive and accessible. Again, it's a bring your own soap type of deal but at this point we're used to that from New Zealand. The Lyell Historic Area toilet wasn't really anything remarkable; which can be a good or a bad thing depending which toilets you are more impacted by. Personally, I was still not over the Paparoa National Park Access Road toilet so I was feeling very fuzzy towards this one.
Onya, Lyell, and happy crapping to everyone else!
