Hello crappers!
You know, novels aren't for everyone. Some people just don't want to read 300 pages with nothing to spice it up besides some paragraph breaks. Here at Literary Crap, I like to cater to all types of readers so today I'm reviewing New York City's Magazine Cafe!
You can find this cute little place on 37th St.

I'm of the opinions that nothing makes reading better than a cuppa and maybe a nice pastry so I was pleased to stumble across this cutesy little place which caters to exactly that! The Magazine Cafe has all your popular magazines - New Yorker, Cosmo, People etc - plus some more fringe but equally interesting titles!
As you come in the door, you'll find all the top rated magazines and a little rack of Supermarket paperbacks. Once you move deeper into the shop, you'll see the register and various snacks and drinks; this isn't where you want to go for a meal, but, for a quick bite, they've got you covered. The titles start to be sorted by theme further back; fashion, home and garden, music. They have the kind of magazines that you know are posh; you know the ones that have a matte finish instead of glossy because, for some reason, that texture signals refinement?
Upstairs, you'll find some seating so you can enjoy a beverage and a mag on location. As you can see from the picture, Magazine Cafe is pretty new in town but I think it has great potential to be a popular refuge for those looking to relax and read something that interests them.
As always, find me on Facebook so that you never miss a bookstore or bog!
Happy reading, Crappers!
