Really Into Rizzoli!

Hello crappers!

Continuing with the backlog of places I've been, meet Rizzoli New York!

You can find Rizzoli at 1133 Broadway at 26th St in New York City! Although it does sound like a type of pasta, this bookstore turned out to be one of the coolest I've come across! According to their website (which you can take a peep at here), Rizzoli was established in New York in 1964 and his grown into an international publishing house as well as a successful chain of bookstores specialising in literature, photography, fine and applied arts, architecture, culinary, and interior design.

Rizzoli is has that classic bookshop aesthetic but on steroids. Dark wood shelves, gold lettering, black and white tile floors, high ceilings; it reeks of the intelligentsia but honestly I'm into it. The displays were eye-catching and, as I'm sure you can imagine, the range was fantastic. Despite its money vibes, it was actually quite well priced (except the art books but those always cost more than the average person's rent). Everything down to the music was tasteful and only added to the bookshop experience.

I think the most exciting part for me was finding a very extensive gardening section. Alas, like art books, gardening books with their full colour pictures, are a bit out of my price range. If I ever join the New York Elite, however, best believe I'll be shopping at Rizzoli.

Onya, Rizzoli, and thank you, crappers! Don't forget to check out their website!

Happy reading!
